About Bashly

Bashly is an AI co-host for casual gatherings: milestone birthdays, dinner parties, baby showers, housewarmings, game nights, bachelorette weekends. We do the unglamorous parts so the host can enjoy their own party.

Tell Bashly the basics (date, guest count, budget, what kind of event) and we generate a shareable Event Page with RSVP form, cost-splitting, dietary collection, and day-of nudges. The host stays in chat; the guests get a clean page to RSVP from.

Who runs Bashly

Bashly is a service of FiftyKnots (Pty) Ltd, a South African company registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC). A US legal entity is being established for North American operations.

How we use WhatsApp

Bashly currently delivers most host-side conversation through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. We use WhatsApp to receive event details from hosts, send Event Page links, deliver RSVP confirmations, and respond to support queries. We do not send unsolicited promotional messages and we comply with WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy.

A web chat surface for hosts is in beta and will become the default organizer channel for North American users.

Privacy and data

Personal information (host names, phone numbers, guest lists) is stored on infrastructure hosted in the af-south-1 region (Cape Town). North American user data will move to a US region as part of our NA expansion. For details on what we collect, why, and how to delete it, see the Privacy Policy.
